Gulumwa Village is located in the Kwimba District 33 km from the paved road.  Its population of 3,500 people obtain water from a hand-dug dam that collects rain water and run-off.  The quality of the water is dirty and  unfit for human consumption.  In 2007, another organization drilled a deep borehole well in this village at 78 meters,
