Bagatu village is located in the Magu District approximately 27 km from the paved road. The population of 6.034 obtains water from three shallow hand-dug wells, and a pond with extremely dirty water. While the quality of water in the hand-dug wells is acceptable, two of the three are dry. The sustaining shallow well is rationed to one bucket a day per household. During normal years the families can walk to the Duma River to get sufficient water, but this year, the river is dry and the people are suffering.
Bagatu village is one of CT’s priority villages. Maybe you will help us fund a deep bore hole well in Bagatu to improve the health of the 736 primary students, their families, 120 widows, and 25 orphans.
